The Liberty Series: A group of images I photographed from below deck on a sail boat through a porthole during a violent rain storm and the rainbows afterwards in New York Harbor. These digital images were shot with a Canon point and shot.

Archival pigment print - Statue of Liberty-a beacon of hope , on handmade Sarvisberry paper, embedded in woven strips of Walnut-dyed banana with birch bark, green banana, cattail, lily fibers with eco-print of maple leaves and three vessels made with walnut-dyed banana stalk with cattail and rainbow colored fibers; Symbolic images and objects: Statue of Liberty, maple-tolerance; vessels-the journey; shells-waken from ignorance-oyster-health, wisdom humility, clams-transitional period in life; yucca seed pods-protection, purification; sponge-purification; feathers-spiritual elevation to a higher plane-guinea-not all is black and white, finch-diversity,, turkey-fertility , abundance, pride; black coral-strength, lichen-solitude; American flag created from Tibetan prayer flags and kozo fibers.
